When we started our family, Lori and I made a conscious decision to move into the Appoquinimink school district. We wanted our kids to have access to a good public education.
Our first home was right above the canal, where all three of our kids attended O.B.L. Our feeder pattern brought our older two over the canal to A.G.W., along with after-school activities, new friends, and rides back and forth. We were spending so much time in Middletown that we decided to pack up and call it home. This led us to Appo High, where our older two graduated, and where our youngest still goes to school.
Lori, our youngest, and I live with our adorable Golden-doodle, Penny. Our older children still come over at least once a week to visit us and give Penny her weekly pets.
Our son is a Cardiac Intensive Care nurse at C.H.O.P. in Philadelphia. Our oldest daughter is a Research Coordinator for Nemours Children’s Health in Newark.
For the past 30 years, my family and I have run our family-owned restaurant. I still enjoy making connections with our younger staff and helping them navigate life and prepare for college or their future careers.
When the weather’s nice, you can catch me riding my mountain bike around Price Memorial Park or shredding the trails at Lums Pond. During baseball season, my family and I are die-hard Phillies fans and enjoy going to The Bank to watch them play.
